About Everybody Cycling Training

Bikeability is designed to give children the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today’s roads.

Bikeability is a nationally recognised scheme which has helped millions of children by attending Bikeability training within their schools.

There are three Bikeability levels, with each level designed to help improve cycling skills, no matter what the cyclist knows already.

Levels 1, 2 and 3 take trainees on a journey from the basics of balance and control, all the way through to planning and making a journey by themselves on busier roads.

From April 2024 Everybody Health and Leisure is responsible for the delivery of Bikeability in Cheshire East.

Everybody Cycling Training October Half Term

We are pleased to be offering the following sessions in Macclesfield, Nantwich and Crewe during October Half Term. Please note that booking is essential, spaces are limited and have age requirements.

  • Learn To Ride – For ages 5 – 12, this session is to help those who are non riders or need more confidence to ride their bike. During the session the instructors will work to improve the riders balance and bike control to start riding.
  • Bikeability Level 1 – For school year 4 – year 6, this session looks to develop the key skills and control of riding in a non traffic environment in preparation for Level 2. This includes games and activities to demonstrate and develop these skills.
  • Bikeability Level 2 – For school year 5 – year 9, this takes place on the roads and delivers the key manoeuvres such as turning in and out of junctions, passing parked cars and more.

Please can all participants bring their own bike and helmet with them and wear appropriate clothing for the weather and riding their bike.
